problem with galileo terra download
Re: problem with galileo terra download
Hello olibuzo,
We're sorry that this is not working. When Dive Log DT downloads your Terra, it saves some log files about what it found. Can you please send them to us? They are located in ~/Library/Application Support/Dive Log DT
and there are 3 files: IRDA-Dump.txt, IrDA-UWatec.txt, and IrDA-UWatec.xml
Could you please attach these 3 files to an email message and send it to support at moremobilesoftware dot com
We'll get it sorted out.
Thanks,
Janice

Re: problem with galileo terra download
Hello olibuzo,
Dive Log DT will not attempt to start a download if it can not save information in these files. So if it actually does the download (although wrong), then the files have to be there.
If you use Finder and Navigate to your Home Directory, e.g. maybe "olibuzo" in the left hand list if that was your user name? Then Library and then "Application Support". This folder should have lot's of other folders in it as this is where most applications store their data. You said you were running 10.6 Snow Leopard? If perhaps you are running 10.7 Lion, the Library folder is now hidden. To get there you need to press and hold the Alt/Option keyboard button and then click on the "Go" item in the top menu. Now the Library folder will show up.
Is it possible you're running Dive Log Manager and not Dive Log DT? If so, then under "Application Support" will be the folder "Dive Log Manager" instead.
If you are running Dive Log DT, are you running the latest version? If you click on the main "Dive Log DT" menu item, and select "About Dive Log DT", it should show you version 4.3.1. If it is an earlier version, you will want to upgrade. If you have just purchased it though, you should have the latest version.
Lastly, if all else fails, maybe Spotlight in the upper right hand corner of your Mac can help you. If you enter one of the file names like "IRDA-Dump.txt" in the search box, and then "Show in Finder", it will show you the folder that it found it in.
And then please send all 3 files in an email message to us.
Sorry that this is causing you so much trouble.
Janice

Re: problem with galileo terra download
Hello Olibuzo,
Thank you for your patience. A new version of Dive Log DT has been submitted to the Apple App Store for review but they have not yet approved it or released it.
If you would like, I would be happy to send you a non-app store version of Dive Log Manager and a coupon for a license so that you can download your Terra. Please contact us at support at moremobilesoftware dot com and we will give you the information. This will be a separate version of the application. Once Apple approves the new version of Dive Log DT, it will have the same functionality and you can switch back to Dive Log DT if you choose. We have no idea how long it will take Apple to approve it - this is not information they give developers.
Just FYI to you and everyone else - ScubaPro/UWatec dramatically changed the format of information on the dive computers with the 1.7 release of the firmware for all Galileo dive computers. Not all the information is supported because we now no longer know where things are. If you want to be able to get access to this information, we suggest you contact UWatec and ask them to share information about the 1.7 firmware release.
Thanks all,
Janice

Hello olibuzo,
The latest release of Dive Log DT, version 4.3.2, has just been approved by Apple and released in the Mac App Store today. It should work with your Galileo 1.7 Trimix firmware. Please give it a try and let us know either way!
Tanks,
Janice
