More Mobile Software

Question if this is possible. Or perhaps some advice. Even a feature request.

As I am diving more, my list of dive buddies is getting longer. But of course, there are still people that I dive with more often than others. I can see how to sort the buddies list under the buddies tab both ascending and descending by both first and last names. And I see how to change the ascend/descend order in "Dives>Details>Buddies".

Is it possible to manually adjust this list? Perhaps sort alphabetically as I can currently do, but then move it to a manual mode and drag certain people to the top of the list who I dive with frequently to try and speed up the time of logging dives. Or perhaps a way to mark some as a Favorite or some similar type of idea? And if something like this is in place, can you help point me in the right direction? Or maybe perhaps a filter section where I can search by name?

Yes, you're right, there should be a way to make this easier, and there isn't one right now. I like your idea of being able to mark some Buddies as "Favorite", but that would require an additional database field to store it in, or some way of saving that information per logbook and that requires a bit of long term planning. I'll add it to the list though.

I think the best way to accomplish it is to add a search field / filter on that Buddies table. That would be a general purpose way to solve it and I'll look at adding that feature shortly. And it wouldn't interfere with "Favorites" in the long term.
