Restore purchase doesnt work.

iPad IOS 15.1
DL 3.5.5 (3.108)

I have been using Dive Log on IOS for years. As of today it tells me I havent bought the downloader for Shearwater. I have.
I try “restore purchases”. It tells me there are no purchases to restore.
It tells me I may need to sign into the App Store with a different AppleID to restore the purchase - this is the same AppleID I have used for 5 years and has not changed. I have logged in/out of the AppleID/Apple cloud in the iPad 5 times - it makes no difference.
I have deleted/retored DL on the iPAd- it makes no difference.

How can I get the purcahsed Shearwater downloader back?

Hi Al,

Did you get the email that I sent you last week in response to this question that you sent directly to our support email address? Did you try restarting your iPad per my suggestion in that email? If that did not work and you are still having difficulties you should contact Apple directly (1-800-APPLE-CARE in the US) and ask them to look at your account. All licensing and purchase information is managed directly by Apple and individual developers have no insight into their systems. When you tap the "Restore Purchases" button, we just ask Apple for all your existing licenses and wait for their answer. If you see the message that you got, that means that Apple's servers did not return any results. As the message suggests, this is usually because a user is signed in with a different Apple ID ... but since this is not the situation that you are in, a call to Apple should shed some light on why they no longer have your license for the Shearwater In-App purchase in their system.

Thanks for the reply Greg - your previous email had gone into 'junk' for some reason....I have now found it.
I've retarted the ipad several times but it hasnt made any difference,
Whats even weirder is that I also have DL on my iphone....with the same appleID and it DOES have the Shearwater downloader.....
Also - I spent 3 hours yesterday going back through my Apple store purchase history for around the time I think I bought it - and cant find any record of it!
So iphone thinks Ive bought it, iPad thinks I havent, and Apple store doesnt know :(
I'll try that code you sent though in the email(now I've found it) and let you know how it goes.
As you say its really weird.

The code you sent me worked (thanks).
However FYI after the Shearwater download was 'repurchased' I got a message from Apple saying:

Your Apple ID, ********, was just used to make a purchase in Dive Log from the App Store on a computer or device that has not previously been used. You may also be receiving this email if you reset your password since your last purchase.

But - The device has been used before and the password has not been changed recently - so the Apple store seems to be really confused ATM.

HI Al,

I'm glad that you are going again. I can't explain what is going on on the Apple end ... they are as opaque to me (as a developer) as they are to you (as a consumer). Hopefully you will not have any issues going forward, but if you do (for example with another purchase for another App), I would definitely contact Apple. Given that it works on one device and not the other should allow them to track down the issue.
