Not syncing all dives i300C

Hello, I bought Dive Log app for iOS and bought Pelagic Bluetooth to sync with my Aqua Lung i300c device, but only some of dives downloaded - not all. There are 50 dives on my i300c, but only 36 downloaded. I tried multiple times, dive delete from app, app reinstall - no clue. BTW new dives are downloading fine.

Hi,
As with many dive computers, the i330C has a limit to the number of dive profiles that can be stored on the device. Once that limit is reached, the profile memory is overwritten by newer dives. Needless to say, it is not possible to recover profile data from dives that have been overwritten by newer dives. This is from the i330C manual:
Dive Log Mode:
• Stores 24 most recent DIVE/GAUGE dives in memory for viewing
• After 24 dives, adds 25th dive in memory and deletes the oldest dive
Typically the dive computer will store more summary information about dives than it can profile data so you may see more dives listed in the i330C but if you try to review one of those early dives on the i330C itself you will likely be told that you can not view the profile details (profiles and "logbook entries" are stored in different sections of memory with in the dive computer).
You may see profile for a few more dives than the limit of 25 because some dives are shorter than others but in general, you will have a limit.
You can verify this by using the Pelagic app DiverLog+ (Pelagic make the i330C for Aqualung) and trying to download the full dive computer. You should see that you can only download the same dives (with profile data) as you can with Dive Log.
I hope that helps explain the situation you are experiencing.
Cheers,
Greg

I had same thoughts, but can’t verify this theory because I have been using divelog+ quite long time and all my dives are already there - I’m just trying dive log as alternative for it. May be in my case it would be better to somehow export dives from divelog+ and import them after this to dive log. BTW now during divelog sync I’m getting only 4 dives. I have impression that some metrics were created in my user data on my iPhone and stay there even after app reinstall…

Dive Log, by default, only downloads the most recent dives (i.e. ones that are newer than the most recent dive in your logbook that has a profile). If you want to download all available dives you need to tap the "All dives" item on the download screen before you start your download. However, you will still only get the dives that have not been overridden by newer dives of course.
It is possible to import dives from DiverLog+ into Dive Log, but it is not straight forward. I'm sure this will come as a surprise to no one, but the computer manufactures are not that interested in making it easy for 3rd party apps to allow you to move away from their brand. In this case, what you need to do is sync DiverLog+ on your iPhone with DiverLog Lite on the Mac. You can then use our free DiveLogManager or paid DiveLogDT to import the dives from DiverLog Lite (you need to have DiverLog Lite running so that their database is unlocked so that DiveLogManger or DiveLogDT can read it). You can sync your logbook between Dive Log on iOS and DiveLogManger/DiveLogDT on the Mac.
Finally, with DiverLog+, it is quite difficult to "force" it to read your whole dive computer after it has downloaded any dives. The only way I know to do it is to remove DiverLog+ from your iPhone (loosing all your data .... so I don't recommend this) and then reinstall it and download your computer. However, you can look in the i330C manual (page 65) and see that any more than 25 dives is hit and miss as they only support 25 dives in the i330C.
Note that if you are not happy with Dive Log's support for your particular needs, you can request a refund from Apple. Assuming this is a recent purchase they will generally grant it. Just look up your receipt in your account (or the email you got or will get) and click the "report a problem" button.
I hope that helps.
Cheers,
Greg

Got it. Thank you. I'll try to use both apps - just want to have another option and there are some interesting options in Dive Log. Will try to export/import. BTW support is fine from my point of view ).
