Hello,

I love using this app in conjunction with Dive Log 6.0 and really value having my log on my iPhone.

I have purchased the app via the Apple App Store (I am the Organizer of the family), I attempted to install the app onto a family members phone (member in Apple family) but being asked to purchase the application again.

Curious if anyone can clarify if the Dive Log application family sharing capabilities. Is it for the App and in app purchases or just one of the two.

Dive Log fully participates in Family Sharing (bot for the main purchase and in-app purchases). Typically you'll want to install the any app that you already have the rights to (so including Family Sharing) from the App Store app's "Account" section (tap the little icon in the top right hand corner of the main screen) rather than by searching for the app like you would for an app that you have never purchased. While the later should work, it often gives you the message that you saw as Apple does not "notice" the previous purchase right away.

So open the App Store app on the family members phone, tap the icon in the top[ right hand corner and then tap "Apps" and then under the FAMILY section tap the name of the Family organizer (you). Now just locate Dive Log in the list (you can tap on the "Not on this iPhone" filter button and/or search to make it easier to find) and then tap the download icon.

If you do not see the Family organizer listed then either the user is not a member of the Family group or they are signed in with a different Apple ID from the one that is used in the Family group. If you don't see Dive Log listed in the list then it is possible that it was purchased under a different Apple ID originally (or was gifted via a promotional code). You can double check on the Family organizers phone to make sure the correct Apple ID is signed in and that Dive Log is listed under the "My Apps" list in the same section of the App Store app detailed above.
