Hi Craig,

No, unfortunately, there is no way to directly import data from a dive computer to Dive Log on iPhone, iPod touch or iPad. Apple's camera connection kit is not designed for general USB connections. I realize that it does work with a limited number of non-camera devices (keyboards primarily) but this is an artifact of drivers that are already built into iOS. In order to communicate with a dive computer interface cable one would need to communicate directly with the USB chip set. iOS applications that wish to communicate directly with hardware devices must participation in the "Works with iPhone" program and the software and hardware must both be approved and be approved to work together before the app can appear on the App Store. Apple has not made the software interfaces for the Camera Connection kit available to developers (and I doubt they ever will) so it is not currently possible to get such an approval with the Camera Connection Kit.

I am interested in providing a direct dive computer import function. I have an ongoing effort to find a viable solution but nothing is currently available.

I hope you enjoy your trip.

Cheers,

Greg
