Now that I'm starting to dive without a guide, or dive shop. I'm doing my own investigation and research into dive sites. As such, I am now copying and pasting a rediculous amount of text into the small comment box in the locations section.
I would also like to add multiple pictures into the same site, to assist in navigation.
Feature: Expanded dive site entries
Re: Feature: Expanded dive site entries
The size of the "comments" box for Dive Sites (and all other comments boxes) is not limited and so you can put as much info as you want in there. The box/text will scroll. If you want to make the size on the screen bigger, you can resize the various window(s).
The options for pictures is somewhat complicated. As you've seen, we only allow one image per "item" be it Site, City, Country, Equipment, etc etc. This is because we've made a conscious effort to keep the size of the logbook down or under control. Since the logbook is transferred around and take up that much space or more on limited memory devices like iOS devices, we don't want a "bloated" logbook. We will be working on adding photo support in general, but we don't want the iOS experience to suffer and so they will be likely decoupled in some way so that the logbook itself does not become unwieldily. Apple has some new features in iOS 6.0 that makes this possible and so we're just getting some other features finished up and then will likely start working on photos. In the mean time, the only option I can offer is maybe putting a text "link" (not a real link) to the photos in the comments.
There are also a few new Dive Site fields that we'll be adding soon as well.
Hope that helps some,
Janice
