Certification pictures and adding pictures in general

Post by Martin »

I cannot find a way to add pictures for certifications on the mac app. On iPad it works.
Is there a trick to do it on the mac or is it broken?

Cheers.

It looks like I can't add pictures for any part of dive log manager.
I tried edit mode, double click, file menu open - no success, no filerequester asking do add a jpg or other picture format.

Hello Martin,

You're right, there is no file requester. In edit mode, you can drag in your photo from a source like File Manager or anything else that provides a photo. When you're not in editing mode, there is a menu item to "save" the photo to your hard drive. Remember that the photos are not that big in order to keep your logbook size manageable. So you don't want to assume that you can get rid of the original since it's in the logbook ....

Hope that helps,
Janice

Thanks for the fast reply.
It works nice with drag and drop, maybe give a hint in the empty photo fields like drag photo here, or similar.
Anyway, I will put now all my certificates in and the equipment afterwards, this gonna be fun!

Question regarding the pictures. Are they compressed to a much more managable state and then placed into the divelog sql file?? I've noticed my log getting rather big, and as much as I love the 'completeness' of having pictures in my log. Having to transfer 10meg each time isn't very practical.
