New Problem: Cannot import Suunto Database

Post by akouris »

I have been using DiveLogDT for OSX for 3 years, and have been importing the Suunto Database files for 3 years, Suunto DM4, and later on Suunto DM5.

I have both Suunto DM4 and Suunto DM5 installed in my OSX system (10.10.4 (14E33b)), and have been using everything without any problems.

The latest DiveLogDT Update (Version 4.4.16 (4.134)) has broken the import functionality for me.

When I try to import the Suunto Database file in the latest DiveLogDT, instead of the file dialog coming up, I get a message on DiveLogDT saying Suunto DM4/DM5 is not installed.

Anyway to solve this issue?

Same problem as me.

Mac OS X 10.10.3
Suunto DM 5 1.2.42.5696

I had no problems with DiveLogDT before version 4.4.16 (4.134). Now the message "Suunto DM4/DM5 is not installed" appears, if I click on the Database button.

Apparently a very small change we made in the latest version is causing problems for some people :-( Technically it "shouldn't" but that's the way it goes. It may have something to do with the "Language & Region" setting the Mac is in.

akouris is helping us out with this and we hope to track it down.

Suunto also recently changed the database format and so we were already working on an update to accommodate that change and so we'll probably do another release soon for that reason as well.

Thanks for your patience,

The problem is all our fault and is only a problem for the sandbox'd version of the applications. A new version has been submitted to Apple for review and so will be available soon. In the mean time, if you want to import from Suunto, you can download the free version of the application from our website, which is not sandbox'd, and will work as expected.
