Mac OSTC Sport Bluetooth Problem

Helle!

I use following equipment:
MacBook
divelog
Heinrichsweikamp OSTC Sport

Until now i Have Used Ma ostc Sport with Firmware 10.12 without any Problems with Bluetooth Connection.
Now i have updated to Firmware 10.19 and i Could not Download My dives from the ostc.
The Bluetooth connections does not work.

I have contacted the Heinrichsweikamp Support and they think that divelog Could not work with the new firmware.

Ist there a Update for divelog coming soon? Or what Could i do?

Hello Arndt,

I just want to confirm with you on your post. Are you saying that you were able to download your OSTC Sport to your *Macbook* and DiveLogDT using firmware 10.12, but now after upgrading to 10.19 you can no longer download to your *MacBook* running DiveLogDT?

We are unaware of any incompatibilities with firmware version 10.19 and the Bluetooth connection to the *Mac*. The product "Dive Log" only run's under iOS and on iOS based devices.

Well, before we were not aware of a problem but now we are! We also upgraded to 10.19 just to check it out and it seems to be broken

We have contacted Heinrichs Weikamp and will be working with them on what to do. We'll let you know and post here when we know more. Thanks for your patience.

Sort of. The folks at Heinrichs Weikamp have determined that there is a problem with the 10.19 firmware when talking Bluetooth to Mac's. (There are no problems with it talking to PC's). They sent me a new version of the firmware that had some changes to the timing that they thought would fix things on a Mac, but it still had random problems on various Mac's (Both MacOS 10.10 and MacOS 10.9). I haven't heard anything since. At this point, it might be best to contact them. It might be a good idea to post in their forums as I haven't seen much about the subject there.

Unfortunately, just FYI, I think you're going to have to find a PC to use to upgrade the firmware whenever it does come out. Neither the MacOS OSTC Companion nor Subsurface were able to properly communicate with the Sport (running 10.19) to be able to upgrade the firmware to a new version. Because of course both of those are also using the MacOS Bluetooth profile ... which 10.19 doesn't work well with ....
