DiveLogDT and BigSur crashing on Bluetooth downloads

I recently upgraded my MacBook to MAC OS BigSur v11.6
DivelogDT seems to run fine except when I try to use Bluetooth to download using Pelagic from my Dive computer which worked great before the OS upgrade. I have an Oceanic Proplus 4. As soon as I hit download the program crashes and I get this terminal screen output.

I can download from my Proplus4 to my iPhone into Divelog+ from the same Dive computer using Bluetooth without any issues.

OMG, it's days like today where Apple makes me think of switching to doing Windows development.

I just recently upgraded myown Big Sur machine to 11.6 but haven't done any testing yet. I thought that there couldn't be that much difference between 11.5 and 11.6 right? But it turns out that macOS 11.6 is purposely crashing DiveLogDT becaue it doesn't have a description for the user of *why* it needs access to Bluetooth. Part of the User' Privacy Protection area. For some reason 11.5 didn't need it but 11.6 does - I guess because it was a "security" release And this is going to happen for all Bluetooth Downloads, not just for Pelagic.

So sorry you had to run into this. I'll release a new version of DiveLogDT with the added description string ASAP.

Thanks for the quick response and detailed answer.
In the mean time as a work around I can use my iPhone to download new dives and sync with my Mac.

FYI A new version of DiveLogDT has been released that will prompt you for permission to use Bluetooth and won't crash. It may take a little while to propagate through the Apple servers / system, but you should see it shortly.
