Hello,
Enhancement for iOS and Macos apps
Allow user to create | save Multiple Equipment Configurations [ Recreational, Tec SideMount, Rebreather ] and then associate equipment in the list with any of the saved configurations. As an example, I dive MK48 Full Face Mask in Tec SideMount and Rebreather
Recreational Configuration #1
Recreational Configuration #2
Tec SideMount - Open Water
Tec SideMount - Cave
Tec Rebreather
Thank you
Daniel Waite

Re: Saving Multiple Equipment Configurations
Any hack idea's for this until the feature can be added?
Re: Saving Multiple Equipment Configurations
Hi Daniel,
Thanks for your suggestions. We always appreciate hearing from users about ways that Dive Log and DiveLogDT can evolve to better meet user's needs. We do have a long to do list and limited resources so we prioritize our development using various criteria including user suggestions.
In the meantime, there are two features that you might be able to use to save some time as you switch between equipment configurations for various dives.
The "template dive" feature of Dive log allows you to base a new dive on a dive you previously entered (in DiveLogDT you use the "duplicate dive" feature of an existing dive). You can use this feature either adding a dive manually using "+" on the Dives tab (pick the most recent dive or any previous dive) or while importing from a dive computer (configure the "template dive" on the download screen before importing your dives). In both cases, Dive Log will copy most details from the previous dive and allow you to just edit the details that have changed from the template dive.
The other feature you can use is the template tank feature available in the Settings tab. This feature will automatically set up your tank details as they are added (including during a dive computer download). You can also update a tank in a dive based on the available tanks that you have configured in the tank templates in the Settings tab.
Hopefully one of those features will help make entering your dives in the current version of the app.
Cheers,
Greg
