Share with dive buddies
If I add a buddy to a dive, will that buddy be able to add that dive to his log book?

Hi,
No, adding a Buddy to a dive is just a way to record who you dove with on particular dive.
There is not a great way to share a while dive with a buddy so that they can add it to their logbook easily. There are ways to do this, but they are not "easy" as this is not really a very common operation. It is more likely that you'd like to share specific details from a dive (Dive Site, City, Country, Marine Life items) so that you buddy to can update their personal dive record with those details. This is possible using the "share" option associated with each of those items. If you want to share multiple items you can tap the "Select" button a the top of the appropriate list view and then tap the "share" icon in the lower toolbar to send the items to your buddy using Messages, AirDrop, email, etc.). You can also share an individual item by just tapping the share icon while viewing that item.
Your buddy can either tap on the shared file to open it and import the item(s) into their logbook or they can use the Synchronize tab's Import->Import Dive Log Exchange format and select the file from the location that they saved it.
