Medi check Image

Post by timlong0401 »

Is it possible to add a PDF for the Medi check image? My medical is three pages (SSI) and I can only load one image into the Medi Check Image and I seem to only be able to load an image of one page at a time as a PNG or Jpeg

Hi,

The best I can offer at the moment is to generate a "4 up" version of the PDF, and then convert that you a JPEG.

1) Start by opening your for in Preview
2) Select File->Print
3) Click on Layout and change it to Pages Per Sheet to 4
4) Select the PDF dropdown at the bottom and select "Save to PDF ..."
5) Open the resulting PDF and use File->Export
6) Choose JPEG

This will create single image with all three pages of your MediCheck form that you can add to DiveLogDT. You can play around with different paper sizes and other parameters to get an image that you are happy with.

Cheers,

Greg

Thank you for the info, it didn't work on either of my two PDF handling programs though. Acrobat Pro 2017 has no PDF option from the Print menu and PDF Expert won't let you change the save format from Export. I could do it in Photoshop, but to have all pages readable would make a much larger file than the PDF and for the moment I will just keep the single page with the medical stamp on it as a Jpeg saved, and wait for DiveLog to add the ability to save PDFs, which I hope will be added IDC.

The steps that I outlined were based on opening your original PDF in Apple built in Preview application (I assumed that you were using a Mac since you posted the your question in the DiveLogDT forum). I found the result readable in my tests, but I don't have your document of course.

An alternative is to save your form as a PDF on your Mac's file system or in iCloud Drive (or on an iPhone in Files app's local storage area if you don't want it in the cloud) and then you can show the original PDF when you need to.

Sorry that it didn't work out for you.

Cheers,

Greg
