Dive Log Manager & Mac Dive Log Printing
Unfortunately Dive Log Manager does not have the capability to print individual dive logs. I use MAC Dive to import my dive logs from my dive computer. Then I import those logs into Dive Log Manager. I then update my logs from within Dive Log Manager. Is there a way I can get my updated logs from Dive Log Manager back to MAC Dive so I can print my individual Dive Log Sheets from within MAC Dive (which would include my updates that I made in Dive Log Manager)? I know this can be done but I lost my instructions. Thanks in advance for your help.
Re: Dive Log Manager & Mac Dive Log Printing
In order to get your data to MacDive to print you'll need to first sync it to Dive Log on an iOS device (iPhone, iPad, iPod touch) and then sync that data to MacDive using MacDive's iOS Sync feature. This will transfer the edited data back to your MacDive database. If you'd prefer to not have the MacDive data loaded onto your iOS device at the end of the sync (some fields in Dive Log and Dive Log Manager are not supported by the MacDive sync and would be lost if you loaded the MacDive data back onto the iOS device) you can simply skip the last step of tapping the "Use new Logbook" on your iOS device. The result will be that all your dives in MacDive will be updated with the data from Dive Log Manager/Dive Log so that you can print the log pages and that you Dive Log Manager/Dive Log database will be the same as it was before you synced with MacDive.
I hope that helps.
Cheers,
Greg

Re: Dive Log Manager & Mac Dive Log Printing
Worked perfectly ... thank you very much for your support Greg!
Re: Dive Log Manager & Mac Dive Log Printing
Is there an expectation as to when if ever there will be a print feature. Its a bit tedious to have to keep going back and forth within applications.
Re: Dive Log Manager & Mac Dive Log Printing
I don't have a specific date when printing will be available directly from Dive Log on iOS. We are actively working on it and will make it available as soon as possible (with the vagaries of the App Store approval process we prefer to not make specific promises as some aspects of the process are out of our control). Printing in Dive Log on iOS will be use the iOS AirPrint facility, so you will need to have an AirPrint compatible printer to print directly from iOS.
We have submitted an update to Dive Log Manager/Dive Log DT for the Mac to Apple for approval that does contain direct support for printing. As of right now, that update has not yet been approved.
Sorry that I don't have more definitive information available for you. We are working to meet all the customer feature request for Dive Log and Dive Log Manager/Dive Log DT and will make them available as quickly as possible.
Cheers,
Greg
