Hi Ron,

You don't need to export the database using Diving Log 5.0, you use the "Backup" function that I described in an earlier post and then send that field to DiveMate. This will contain your whole logbook from Dive Log on iOS and will already be in a format that is a super set of the DiveMate USB format (and should open with DiveMate).

To recap in Diving Log 5.0:

1) Click on "Sync"
2) Click on "Info"
3) Enable Sync in Dive Log on your iPad
4) Click on "Backup"
5) Save the Backup file somewhere that your Android device can see it.

This is just a work around until we can add the export support in a future version of Dive Log (it is on the list, but new features like this take time).

No, sorry, no new news on an export function in Dive Log (yet). Sorry about that. We haven't forgotten about this feature though.

The last update to Dive Log was post at the end of March (version 2.2.3). I'm not sure what your definition of a "while is", but if it is longer than 30 days you might double check that your device has downloaded the latest updates (it is possible that automatic updates got turned off or that un app update is stuck which can block other updates). The next update for Dive Log has been submitted to Apple for review (and process of indeterminate length but typically takes about one week). So you should see the 2.2.4 update within the next short while.
