Hi Ron,
You don't need to export the database using Diving Log 5.0, you use the "Backup" function that I described in an earlier post and then send that field to DiveMate. This will contain your whole logbook from Dive Log on iOS and will already be in a format that is a super set of the DiveMate USB format (and should open with DiveMate).
To recap in Diving Log 5.0:
1) Click on "Sync"
2) Click on "Info"
3) Enable Sync in Dive Log on your iPad
4) Click on "Backup"
5) Save the Backup file somewhere that your Android device can see it.
This is just a work around until we can add the export support in a future version of Dive Log (it is on the list, but new features like this take time).
