Maybe one feature i am missing: export to...
Any chance this will be implemented or suggestions for a workaround....
Thanks!
Divelog export
Re: Divelog export
Hi Ron,
Dive Log depends on syncing with compatible desktop applications to support features like "Export". However, we are looking at adding some export support directly into Dive Log in a future release. An obvious one to add is DAN's DL7 format (which would allow you to upload profile data to PADI's ScubaEarth and to DAN). We would like to know which other export formats you would be interested in seeing us support. Keep in mind that an export format is only interesting if you have something on the other side that knows how to read that format and can take advantage of it. Since Dive Log can already sync directly with Diving Log 5.0, Dive Log Manager, Dive Log DT and MacDive (all of which can export to a different formats themselves with Diving Log 5.0 being the most versatile in that regard) we would be most inclined to add formats that work with other applications/services first. We also need to know the specific applications or services that you are interested working with as most logbook applications require some special treatment of the formats they support.
Cheers,
Greg

Re: Divelog export
Hi Greg,
Thanks, I would prefer to export to a format which can be imported in excel.
I tried this with divinglog as you suggested, but the light version does not allow me to export
(More than 10 Lines).
Keep up the good work!
Grtz Ron

Re: Divelog export
And maybe an upload/export to dropbox so I Can also sync with Android devies.
Re: Divelog export
Can you detail the application(s) on Android would you want to import data to and which data formats it support? We would need to know the intended target to know which format(s) to export the data in for it to be of any practical use. Dropbox would certainly be one of the destinations for any exported data.
Thanks,
Greg
Thanks,
Greg

Re: Divelog export
Divemate Can import the database From diving log 5, if I understand correctly this database is equal to the divelog database? So if you could export the divelog database to dropbox....

Re: Divelog export
That's very helpful. We'll see what we can do!
Thanks,

Re: Divelog export
Yes, DiveMate does use a subset of our logbook format. I'm not sure if the file Diving Log 5.0 creates for DIveMate is the subset of the logbook data that DiveMate know how to read or if they export the whole schema, but we do have people using DiveMate with our Mac product (which uses the same logbook format as Dive Log on iOS).
One thing you can do is take the "backup" file from Dive Log that you saved using Diving Log 5.0 (as opposed to syncing with the Diving Log 5.0 logbook) and send that to DiveMate via Dropbox and it *should* load. Note that the "backup" file (i.e. the .sql file saved by Diving Log 5.0's backup of Dive Log on iOS) is the equivalent of what we'd upload to Dropbox in any future support for export so this might serve as a workaround for now.
Cheers,
Greg

Re: Divelog export
Hi Greg,
Thanks for the suggestions, but diving log does not allow me to export the data(base) because there are
More than 10dives logged. :/. I would be great if you could expand divelog on iPad with an export to dropbox (or other cloud). Thanks.
