I recently installed Drive Log DT on a Macbook Air running OSX 10.7.4 Lion. Everything worked fine and I was able to add records, import dives, etc. I upgraded to Mountain Lion OSX 10.8 and now I am not able to add any new records. Has anyone else experienced this issue? I can downgrade the machine from a time machine backup and test if necessary.

I just installed on Mountain Lion and it is working fine. I did have trouble with Dive Buddies and Shops, but I chose to NOT ALLOW access to Contacts on install and that was a mistake. Here is the FAQ to fix it...after that everything is working fine - import, edit, add new on all areas.

We have tested and run daily under Mountain Lion without any problems so I'm not sure what you're running into. There should be no need to downgrade back to Lion. A couple of questions for you:
Can you update an existing dive? i.e.: if you change the value of a field somewhere, does it get saved between launches of the application? Or you just can't add "new" items? Is "New", "Copy", "Delete" grayed out or are they just not there?
Did you have the buddy problem that "lifeunderwater" described below? We haven't tried it but I suppose if you did not allow Dive Log DT access to Contacts, that it may have other consequences that we don't know about.
