The only short coming I have with your software is that you do not automatically calculate pressure groups. I've seen other logging software do this and it really would make your software complete. I'm hoping others will join in and agree with me that this is something that is needed. Hopefully you will consider supporting this feature in a future release.

Dive Log Manager (Suggestions)
I'm a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer and use your product all the time. When I log my dives with my students, I put your software up on the big screen so my students can follow along as to how I'm logging my dives. I always get the question ... how can I get that software!

Re: Dive Log Manager (Suggestions)
Hi,
Thank you very much for your suggestion. We really appreciate getting input from users and try to implement as many suggestions as we can in our applications. Unfortunately, adding the ability to automatically calculate pressure groups in not something that we will be able to add. There are a number of reasons for this, but they all mostly come down to legal and copyright issues. As a PADI instructor, you are aware that PADI (and other agencies) protect their intellectual property rights aggressively (which is appropriate). The PADI RDP is a PADI developed product and the contents are protected by copyright so it would be inappropriate for us to duplicate the PADI RDP for the purposes of automatically calculating their pressure group values without a license. The other issue is that most training agencies have their own dive tables that use different pressure group letter designations from each other (compare PADI's and SSI's tables for an example of this difference).
So I'm afraid that you need to keep manually calculating the pressure groups with your students and adding them to the appropriate fields in Dive Log Manager. They can probably use the practice anyways
!
Cheers,
Greg
