Important Compatibility Information - Older versions of Dive Log on iOS 4.0.
The current version (1.4.1) of Dive Log is fully compatible with iOS 4.0 (and previous OS versions). The information here might be helpful if you are running iOS 4 and are not able to upgrade Dive Log for some reason. We recommend upgrading to the latest version of Dive Log for the best experience.
Dive Log is compatible with iPhone 4, iPhone 3Gs, iPhone 3G, the original iPhone and iPod touch running the 2.0 or higher software update from Apple®. The iPhone and iPod touch software updates are available from iTunes® automatically when you sync your device.
In order to synchronize your logbook data with your desktop computer you will need a compatible application running on your computer. You can learn more about compatible applications here.
Trimix Tools is compatible with iPhone 4, iPhone 3Gs, iPhone 3G, the original iPhone and iPod touch running the 2.0 or higher software update from Apple®. The iPhone and iPod touch software updates are available from iTunes® automatically when you sync your device.
Version 1.1 and later of Trimix Tools treats oxygen as a narcotic gas when calculating Equivalent Narcotic Depth (END) related values in the planning tools by default. You can now choose (via the settings tab) if oxygen should be considered as a narcotic gas in END calculations. If you were previously using version 1.0, your existing calculations will give a different result for END or Best Mix from later versions. You can get the same results as version 1.0 by opening settings (More->Settings) and turning off the “Treat Oxygen as Narcotic” switch.
The native version of Nitrox Tools is compatible with iPhone 4, iPhone 3Gs, iPhone 3G, the original iPhone and iPod touch running the 2.0 or higher software update from Apple®. The iPhone and iPod touch software updates are available from iTunes® automatically when you sync your device.
The web based version of the application is optimized for use on the iPhone and iPod touch using the built in Mobile Safari browser.
The application will also work in other browsers including the desktop versions of Safari and Firefox. The application takes advantage (when available) of advanced Web 2.0 features and some next generation features available in WebKit (an open source project) based browsers. As a result, it will work best in WebKit based browsers. The application has been tried on some other mobile browsers with some success (depending on the feature set of the browser). Unfortunately, we do not have the resources to support platforms other than iPhone and iPod touch.
Please note: these applications are not substitutes for proper training and should not be used as a substitute for proper dive planning or the primary Nitrox/Trimix blending and planning methods taught during training. Please do not attempt to handle high pressure oxygen or fill SCUBA cylinders without proper training.
